Buying artwork from Gallery de Iris Issen is a simple process. However, it is important for you to know the following information:

1. Inquire about a painting:

When you find a painting on my website that you like, you may inquire about it to learn more. You can specify your interest in what you wish to learn such as price and availability. The collection is continuously updated, but there is always a possibility that a painting has just been sold.

As soon your inquiry has been submitted either myself or a staff member from the Gallery de Iris Issen (hereinafter referred to as the Gallery) will contact you shortly after to provide you with information about the artwork. The Gallery would also be able to provide you with extra detail and installation shots of the work.

2. Purchase artwork:

When you express an interest in purchasing a painting from me, the Gallery would automatically, put it on reserve for you for the next 48 hours. When a painting has been decided upon, the Gallery would appreciate it if you could tell me your preferred method of payment. You will also need to provide your full mailing address so that the painting can be shipped to you. When everything has been quoted and confirmed, the Gallery will give you a final invoice and a credit card authorisation form to be completed, signed and returned. If a credit card is not your preferred method of payment, you may also wire money directly to the Gallery's bank account. To wire takes a little more time since the Gallery cannot make the shipment until the transaction has arrived in its bank account. On average the transfer takes 3-7 working days for domestic transactions and 14-20 working days for international transactions.

3. Packing / Shipping

The Gallery ship all over the world using common carriers (UPS/FEDEX/DHL) for domestic and international shipping. Shipping charges vary depending on product size and weight. All artwork is carefully packaged and boxed. Many original and glass framed works must be shipped in wood crates, the Gallery will contact you upon purchase if this is the case to discuss shipping options and charges. All orders are shipped the same week the purchase is made, unless specified otherwise, Monday to Friday during opening hours. Contact the Gallery if you have specific shipping questions.

4. Tax and VAT

All items purchased from the Gallery are subject to Japan sales tax (10%). Items required to be shipped out of Japan via common carrier are exempt from sales tax. When a package is shipped internationally, it may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and/or fees imposed by the destination country. These charges will typically be due once the shipped goods arrive at the country of destination. You are responsible for ensuring to comply with laws and regulations of the country of destination. The Gallery does not have any responsibility for these additional charges that may apply. Please note that certain countries may require certain documentation before the items are sent. If the necessary information is not provided, this may result in delays in the order.

5. Refund Policy

The Gallery does not allow returns or exchanges on artworks nor Private Collection items. At Gallery de Iris Issen, I am confident that you will be thrilled with your artwork.

6. Security Policy

The Gallery guarantees the highest level of security for your confidential information while you shop. When placing orders, all of your personal information including name and contact information cannot be read by anybody else including staff members of the Gallery.

7. Your Feedback

It's very important for me to get feedback from you. The most important factor for me is to know whether you are satisfied with the painting and services rendered. I will be very thankful for your testimonial which can be left on the [inquiry] page.

The Artist, (Gallery de Iris Issen and All Associated Works), rights are protected by the Federal Copyright Act of 1976, the Japan Copyright Act of 1970, the Federal Visual Rights Act of 1990, and International copyright laws. Purchase of a copyright artwork does not transfer the copyright. The copyright to produce the works in copies, to produce derivative work based on the copyrighted image, and distribute copies is retained by the Artist. Any transfer of this copyright must be in writing expressly identifying what rights are being sold and for what purpose.

Works of art cannot be modified without the permission of the artist. Works cannot be distributed, mutilated or modified in any way that would prejudice the reputation of the Artist.

1.2 Subject to the express provisions of this notice:

(a) Gallery de Iris Issen, together with its licensors, own and control all the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the irisissen.com domain and the material on the irisissen.com domain; and

(b) all the copyright and other intellectual property rights in the irisissen.com domain and the material on the irisissen.com domain are reserved. This includes but is not limited to works posted on social media accounts e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all other forms of media under the Iris Issen and Gallery de Iris Issen Brand.

2.1 You may:

(a) view pages from the irisissen.com domain in a web browser;

(b) You may download pages from the irisissen.com domain for caching in a web browser;

(d) stream audio and video files from the irisissen.com domain

subject to the other provisions of this notice.

2.2 Except as expressly permitted by the other provisions of this notice, you must not download any material from the irisissen.com domain or save any such material to your computer.

2.3 You may only use the irisissen.com domain for your own personal purposes, and you must not use the irisissen.com domain for any other purposes.

2.4 Except as expressly permitted by this notice, you must not edit or otherwise modify any material on the irisissen.com domain.

2.5 Unless you own or control the relevant rights in the material, you must not:

(b) use the irisissen.com domain in any way that is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful, or in connection with any unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful purpose or activity;

(c) use the irisissen.com domain to copy, store, host, transmit, send, use, publish or distribute any material which consists of (or is linked to) any spyware, computer virus, Trojan horse, worm, keystroke logger, rootkit or other malicious computer software; or

(d) conduct any systematic or automated data collection activities (including without limitation scraping, data mining, data extraction and data harvesting) on or in relation to the irisissen.com domain without our express written consent.

Enforcement of copyright

4.1 Gallery de Iris Issen and Iris Issen take the protection of copyrights very seriously.

4.2 If Gallery de Iris Issen and Iris Issen discover that you have used copyrighted materials in contravention of the license set out in this notice, Gallery de Iris Issen and Iris Issen may bring legal proceedings against you, seeking monetary damages and/or an injunction to stop you using those materials. You could also be ordered to pay legal costs.

Commercial use permissions

Those persons who wish to use contents found on the irisissen.com domain in a commercial fashion must receive written consent from Gallery de Iris Issen or Iris Issen, prior to its commercial use.
